'#basscination #patreononlinecourse #basslesson These finger exercises are designed to work on strength and indepedence for the index-, ring- and pinky-finger. This is an excerpt of my \"Complete Online Bass Method\" which is available on my PATREON page. The $20 tier of my Patreon account includes my Complete Online Bass Method structured as follows. The method consists of a basic course with 24 consecutive chapters and a 4 advanced courses on different styles and topics. Each chapter of the basic course contains exercises on the following topics: Playing technique: Here you will get exercises that should help you to play as efficiently and fluently as possible and to produce a round, balanced tone. Fretting hand techniques, articulation, alternate picking exercise for the picking hand, endurance exercises, fluency, etc. Fretboard knowledge: One of the biggest obstacles to playing freely is often the lack of knowledge of the notes on the fretboard (especially in higher registers). With targeted exercises, your knowledge will be expanded and consolidated here, so that you can find any note on the fretboard in milliseconds at any time. Reading music: Reading music is an important method to train one of the most essential skills of a good musician, namely \"mental auditioning\". Only the notation system enables us to imagine a line without an instrument and thus to have a \"mental\" idea of the music before actively playing it. I can only implement it if I have an idea of what it should sound like. That\'s why it\'s often said that you can\'t really play something until you can sing it. \"Mental pre-listening\" is a silent form of singing, so to speak. Rhythm: Of course, rhythm plays a very important role for us bass players. But playing rhythms from the gut only works a little, no matter how talented you are. Everything else is training. With many rhythmic exercises, I will help you to develop your sense of rhythm, to establish an \"inner\" metronome, to count difficult rhythmic passages, etc. Harmonic concepts: It is also important to understand the harmonic relationships between notes, scales & chords. How do the tones that are played match the chords, how are these chords structured, what tones do they contain and how does this relate to the key. Which standard chord progressions you should know etc. In addition to the basic course, there are the following advanced courses: Blues Bass Complete (5 chapters so far) Motown & Memphis Soul (so far 1 chapter) Reggae Bass (2 chapters so far) Latin Bass (1 chapter so far) Sightreading (previously 5 chapters) Chords & Arpeggios (2 chapters) New exercises and lessons are added every month.
