'YouTube channel KAYVIA TELEVISION published on Dec.19 a pirated 10-second video of Dion falsely titled \"CELINE DION DIES IN AMERICAN HOSPITAL AFTER LONG SICKNESS.” It was captioned with “RIP Celine Dion 1968-2019.” Dion is not dead. No legitimate media organizations announced her alleged demise. Neither has the 51-year-old singer’s social media accounts made any reference to this. In November, the Canadian singer was also victimized by another death hoax claiming she died in an airplane crash. The video published by KAYVIA TELEVISION was lifted from a Sept. 18 interview with Dion by American news program Today. The singer, known for her song “My Heart Will Go On” from the 1997 film “Titanic,” talked about her “new beginnings in life and music” after the death of her husband René Angélil in 2016. Dion has been in the news this year due to health-related issues, both explained and unfounded. In January, netizens noticed her slimmer figure, with one claiming she has anorexia, an eating disorder. In a Sept. 27 interview with Entertainment Tonight, she addressed concerns about her weight asking “Is there anything wrong with my body?” as she flexed her right bicep. In October, Dion had to cancel several shows in her hometown of Montreal, Canada, due to a throat infection. KAYVIA TELEVISION’s fake content surfaced days after Dion ended her last show for the year in the United States on Dec. 14. She will resume her tour on January 8, 2020. On Dec. 21, she posted on her social media accounts a photo of her with the three songwriters of one of her latest songs.'
