'Your off-season cricket training and fitness program is likely to be impacted by the weather and the reduced number of hours of daylight. So to be as productive as possible through the Winter, it\'s important to have a range of exercises available that you can do indoors at home.  The side plank exercise builds strength in your oblique muscles, the muscles running along your side. In combination with the Bridge, which builds your lower back muscles, glutes, and quadrilateral muscles, these two exercises support you in any cricket activity that involves twisting - such as bowling, throwing, or turning for the cheeky second run.
