'I love doing HIIT. It burns fat and preserves muscle. The key thing here is high intensity. Going at a high intensity increases our metabolism which and causes our body to burn more fat and calories while we are at rest. That is why anaerobic exercises are better than aerobic exercises to lose weight. HIIT and weight training should be incorporated in any effective weight loss program. Any workout can cause you to lose weight once you are in a caloric deficit. However, HIIT and weight training will build you somw muscles making you look better than you would if you only did steady pace cardio in unison with a starvation program. So do clean up your diet but do HIIT whenever ots cardio day.
